I always think things will slow down in the summer, but they never do! We are as busy as always! the girls had their annual dance recital the first weekend in June. It was Shandi and Shelby's last recital. Shandi graduated and Shelby is on to other things. It went really well. The girls did a dance together and it was just so beautiful! *Sniff sniff* Shelby went off to girls camp severall days later and had a woderful time. Then she turned around the next week and went to Choral Camp at SWOSU. She performed in the talent show which was by audition only. She was one of 5 acts chosen from the Jr. High auditions! Yeah Shelby! Shandi has been working a lot at Geno's and contributing to her college costs for the fall. She will attend UCO and major in Dance Ed. Sophie has been helping me a lot with my daycare babies. She loves them and treats them like her living baby dolls! We are heading to Red River, NM in August and can't wait to get there and enjoy cooler temps! Will be sure to post when we get back!

Graduation
I am so not good at blogging! I haven't updated this thing in over a year! I do well to keep my facebook page up to date! Well our sweet Shandi girl graduated from high school tonight. Can't believe I have a "grown" child! She is as sweet as ever! Best part is that I didn't have to cry at graduation cause she is going to live at home at least this 1st year. Yay!!! I will still get to see her every day and wash her laundry, cook for her etc... She is going to UCO and I am happy to report that she got a nice scholarship from the Lion's Club.
Our younger girls are growing up fast as well. Shelby is going to be an 8th grader this next year. She has lots of friends and is very social as always. She is going to start taking voice and piano lessons over the summer. She is really looking forward to it! She recieved the director's award for choir this past week at her school awards assembly. She loves to sing! Shelby will go to LDS girls camp and to SWOSU Choir camp this summer!
Sophie has gotten so tall this year. She loved 1st grade and is looking forward to going to Fogarty school next year. She did so well in spelling this past year and made 100 or more points on almost all of her spelling tests. She made lots of new friends in Guthrie including a precious little girl with Down's syndrome named Zoey. She loves Zoey so much and helps her in PE to learn all her motor skills. Sophie got a "Caught Caring" award for working with Zoey, but what makes me proud is that she would have done it without any recognition. One day when I was checking her out of school early to go on our spring break trip to Branson, she told me she just had to stop by Mrs. Tubbs room and hug "her" Zoey before she left. She has lots of love in her little heart. I wonder if she will work with special needs kids in the future?
Well, I'm off to dreamland. I have to get up and prepare for Shandi's graduation party! We are having a cookout in her honor here at home. Hope lots of our guests can make it by to say hi and help us celebrate!

We had an amazing time on our Disney vacation. The drive was a bit much, but it was worth it once we go there and the fun began! We went to both Epcot and Magic Kingdom. The girls were so excited!!! Heck Frankie and I were excited too! I hadn't been there since I was 10 and Frankie had never been! The lines were not too bad at the parks even tho Spring Break was in full swing. If you use your fast passes right, you can avoid a lot of the standing in line you hear people complain about! We took lots of pictures and Mom even rode some rollercoasters! Wow! Go Me! I have to say that even tho the parks were a lot of fun, the cruise was even better. Once I got over the 1st night of motion sickness, we had a fabulous time. The 1st morning the girls hit the pools after breakfast, later in the day we went into Nassau and toured the city and went to Ardastra Gardens (a tropical garden and animal park). It was a very nice tour and the gardens were beautiful. We got to handfeed parrots and see a show starring marching flamingos! The next day was spent at the beach on Castaway Cay. We snorkeled, swam, ate BBQ, dug in the sand, had tropical drinks and Frankie got WAY sunburned!!! This was on March 20th, the day it snowed 6 inches back here in OK! Every night we ate in one of the 4 star restaurants on board the ship and went to a live show. The shows were VERY good. We loved our cruise and we will definately take another one someday. Our upcoming events include: the musical "Annie" put on by the GHS Choir and starring Shandi in her choral debute, Tri-State Choir contest for Shelby, talent show at Coyle for Sophie, and dance recital for all 3 girls in May. On top of all this, Mom has started working at a new private school in Edmond and is working several days a week, plus we are selling our house! Can you say CRAZINESS!?! Hope I can keep it together till summer vacation! Then I can breathe a sigh of relief!

More January happenings

Shelby's birthday(Jan. 15) was a lot of fun. We had a full house! We did karaoke, played a playstation dance game, made pizzas and decorated cupcakes. Fun for ALL!
Then on the 16th, Shandi performed at a Thunder game. They played against the Miami Heat that night and won I might add! The girls dance was really good. It was Michael Jackson's Man in the Mirror. Their outfits were completed by shiny gloves!
My nephew, Ashton Brock Fletcher, was born January 20th, 2010 in the UK. He weighed 8lbs and 12 oz. ! He is such a pretty little baby. Brandon got to go visit this month and brought back some sweet pictures of him and Shian. Shian is 22 months old now and is quite a precious little "handful!"
Shelby had so much fun at All-State. She and Lauren got to go swimming, order in deli food, and practice a LOT! The practice paid off because their concert was beautiful!
Feb. has been pretty calm around here. No birthdays, big performances or babies to announce, but we have been planning for our Disney vacation coming up in March. We are so excited! I'm going to take Shandi's senior pictures in the Bahamas. She can't wait to go shopping for a few new outfits for her pictures. All Sophie can talk about is seeing Mickey and Minnie and the Princesses. I'm going to take a ton of pics!

The Evans family has some fun times coming up in January. Shelby will turn 12 on Friday, the 15th. She is having a sleepover party with several friends that night. We are going to decorate cupcakes, sing some karaoke, play games on the playstation and watch movies! Then on Saturday night we head to the OKC Thunder vs. Miami Heat game at the Ford Center. Shandi will be dancing pre-game with a group of girls from her dance studio. The action doesn't stop there! January 20-23, Shelby and I will be in Tulsa for All-State Choir. We will get to hang out all that time with Stacey Johnston and Lauren. So glad Lauren made All-State too. Those girls are fun! The concert will be Saturday morning(the 23rd). We are going to stay around for the High School concert since several kids from Guthrie and my dear friend Shelia's daughter, Kalyn, (from Mustang) will be performing. I'll have pictures up as soon as possible!
